About Teatrino project
Teatrino project is an educational platform and a multifunctional toy theater for experiments and creativity.

We will help you start playing with toy theater, introduce you to theatrical traditions and history. Theater directors, artists and practitioners will share tips and workshops.

On the Teatrino stage, you can play with ready-made sets or create your own performances from scrap. You can feel like a stage director, scenographer, lighting and sound designer, puppeteer, actor, and share these roles with your friends and family.
Elena Shubina
Founder & Art Director
25 years ago, when I was just starting to work at the Mariinsky Theatre, I got a dream — to make a toy theatre that everyone, young and old, could play with. In 2020, when the theatre industry got shaken by pandemic, my daughter Polina and I have finally started making this dream come true.

Woflgang von Goethe and Hans Christian Andersen, Mikhail Lermontov and Lev Tolstoy, Ingmar Bergman, Oscar Wilde and dozens of other famous creators have played in toy theatre.

The toy theatre sparks creativity, brings family and friends together and opens the door to the world of Theatre.
